Introduction to Classroom Sessions
For more information, or to reserve a space in one of the classes, please call 970-484-5229. Normal business hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. The office is open on Saturday by appointment. We are closed after 6:00 PM weekdays, Sundays and Holidays. We are unable to answer telephone calls while in class, or conducting on-road training. Please leave a message with your name and telephone number. We will return your call as soon as possible. Because of the limited amount of students per class, we cannot accept on-line registration.
All classes offer 30 hours of classroom theory. After the completion of the theory, the student then completes 6 hours of on-road driving instruction. The combined hours of classroom, and on road training, meet all state and national standards to be considered a completed course of Driver's Education. Please contact your insurance agent with any questions concerning their standards, or the amount of discount offered.
During the classroom theory, all students, that do not hold a temporary instruction permit, will be tested for the permit. When the student has completed the course, and has met all state requirements, he may call Choice Driver's Education for an appointment to have the driver's license test administered by our instructor. If he successfully passes the test, he will receive documentation to present to the Department of Motor Vehicles. At this time, the Department of Motor Vehicles issues the driver's license.
When the student has completed the classroom theory, and required 6 hours of on-road training, a Certificated of Completion will be mailed to the student and his parents. Please make a copy of the original document to give to an insurance company. A Student Progress Report also will be included. It will highlight areas that the student has performed well, and indicate areas in which the student may need further coaching.
This introduction to the Choice Driver's Education premier course applies only to the course offered by Choice Driver's Education, in the classroom setting, during the dates indicated. All other courses offered by Choice Driver's Education are explained, as is necessary, in their introductions.
CHOICE DRIVER’S EDUCATION is pleased to be entering our 19th year of providing excellent driver's education in a progressive, established environment. Colorado law requires any person under the age of eighteen to hold a temporary instruction permit for a one-year period. If you wish to obtain your permit under the age of sixteen, you must enroll and complete 30 hours of theory of an approved driver's education course within six months of, or the age of fifteen, or take a driver's awareness program at the age of 15 and 6 months.

House Bill 077 (effective April 23, 2007) requires any student under the age of 15 and 6 months to also COMPLETE 6 HOURS of behind-the-wheel training with a certified driving instruction REGARDLESS what type of THEORY course the student has completed, on-line, home study, or the approved driver's education course, (unless there is not an approved course within 30 miles of the students home) to obtain their driver's license.

Choice Driver's Education offers the student a course of instruction that meets new State laws and all National Insurance Companies requirements for reduced insurance rates. The course consists of the required 30 hours of classroom instruction, and the 6 hours of individual in car on-road instruction. In addition, Choice Driver's Education also includes testing for the Permit and the test for the actual DRIVERS LICENSE upon completing all State requirements in the initial affordable fee. No extra cost for testing.
CHOICE DRIVER’S EDUCATION: Celebrating our 19th anniversary of providing an alternative to choose a progressive, fun, and established Commercial Driving School, Driver’s Education Course, and Home Study/Internet course (Motor Vehicle Business Group, Dept. of Motor Vehicles, State of Colorado approved and regulated, January 2004). We look forward to all new students who may be joining the ranks of good, defensive, Green Driver’s. Thank you, to the past students, who made the RIGHT CHOICE!!!
